Our experience was so very positive. We are long term renters and have dealt with many property agents. Mike, who has now also been joined by Belinda, are by far the best we have ever dealt with. Firstly, they treated us with respect and as valued people. Many agents seem to look down their noses at tenants, but were never treated that way with Focus Property. Secondly, whenever we had any issues with the rental property these issues were dealt with quickly, efficiently and with consideration given to our schedules. Again, this had not been the case with all our other agents. Focus Property are complete professionals, whilst still demonstrating care and concern. We have been the tenants of two properties which were managed by Mike Reed spanning approximately 5 years. Leaving our smaller property in Tauranga and moving into a bigger property, we found how lucky we were to have Mike Reed manage. Thankfully, he was asked to manage our current property after the previous managers were sacked and he quickly set about putting things into order. He carried out quarterly check ups on the properties without fail and any concerns we had, he would act quickly on. His manner was always towards getting the tasks at hand completed which was always done to a high standard. When having to tell us if the rent would be raised, he would do so with more than adequate time and, also, in a way which was explanatory, empathetic and professional.
I would not hesitate to recommend Focus Property Management as a reliable and capable manager for your property, but also has an approachable, consistent, straight forward person to liaise with from a tenant’s point of view.

I rented a property for 3 years through Focus Property Management and it has been a great experience from start to finish. Mike and Belinda were totally on the ball fixing any issues immediately and have been such a breeze to deal with. Their small team and friendly personas are such a nice personal touch which is rare in my experience. I would have loved to have stayed on however my personal circumstances changed and they were amazing to deal with right through to the end of my tenancy. I’ve lived in Mike’s property in Rotorua for 5 years now and he’s been an amazing landlord. We are extremely happy with Mike’s property management style and appreciate his effort to let us live in his property without too much interruption especially when he needs to complete maintenance duties.
